FlaskConnect™Privacy Policy
FlaskConnect is a local application: it does not send your drawing data anywhere. This page lists every situation in which the app communicates over the network, and exactly what is sent.
This policy applies to the app FlaskConnect (the macOS, iPadOS and Windows versions; the "App") and to this website, both provided by the developer of FlaskConnect (the "developer"). The developer handles information arising from your use of the App as set out below.
1. Information collected, and why
The App communicates with the outside world in the following two situations only. Nothing else is transmitted.

In-app purchases exist only in the release builds distributed on the App Store (1.0 and later); the beta builds and the Windows build have none. In-app purchases are handled by Apple. The developer never receives your payment details, and never receives information that identifies you as a buyer (Apple provides only aggregate sales figures that identify no individual). Whether you have purchased is checked on your device by asking the operating system (StoreKit); the developer's server plays no part in it.
The version and beta expiry check only receives update information from the server; the App sends nothing that identifies your device. Only beta builds (the 0.9 series distributed through TestFlight) make this check; the release builds distributed on the App Store (1.0 and later) do not.
2. Information that is not collected
The developer does not collect any of the following.
- Your drawing data (the drawings and documents you create). They are never stored on the developer's servers.
- Information that could identify the person using the device, such as a computer name or user name. These are not recorded.
- Information from analytics, advertising SDKs or tracking. Neither the App nor this website contains anything of the kind.
- Payment details (card numbers and the like). In-app purchases are processed by Apple; the developer does not receive them.
The App's operating logs are kept on your device only and are not transmitted.
3. Where data is stored
Your drawing data is stored only on your device and in your own iCloud (the app-specific area tied to your Apple ID). Data inside iCloud is governed by Apple's account management, and the developer cannot access it.
iCloud is used by the macOS and iPadOS builds. The Windows build stores documents only in a folder on your PC (Documents > FlaskConnect) and does not use iCloud. In either case, nothing is transmitted to the developer's servers. You can check the actual location from Help → Open the Save Folder in the app menu.
4. Disclosure to third parties
Of the transmissions listed in section 1, those that constitute disclosure to a third party are the compound database lookups sent to PubChem (operated by the US NIH) and Wikidata. Both are made solely to provide the service in question, and information is not disclosed to third parties for any other purpose. The developer does not sell user information.
If you use the contact form on the support page of this website, what you enter is forwarded to the developer's support mailbox (support@flaskconnect.com). Delivery uses the email service Resend, and spam prevention uses Cloudflare Turnstile — both solely for delivery and bot detection, never to use the form's contents for advertising. A reply-to email address is optional and is used only to reply to you if you provide one.
5. Deleting your data
Because drawing data exists only on your device (and, on macOS and iPadOS, in your own iCloud), deleting the App and deleting the FlaskConnect folder at its save location completes the deletion. You can find that location from Help → Open the Save Folder in the app menu (inside iCloud Drive on macOS and iPadOS, a folder on your PC on Windows). No deletion request to the developer is required.
None of the compound lookup, the in-app purchase or the version check sends or records anything that identifies you or your device to the developer, so there is nothing to request deletion of. Your purchase history is held against your Apple Account; the developer does not hold it.
6. Children
The App is a general-audience application and does not collect personal information from children. The App has no feature that asks for personal information such as a name or contact details.
7. Changes to this policy
If this policy is revised, the revised text will be posted on this page. When a significant change is made, the date of the revision will be stated with the posting. This policy is governed by the laws of Japan.
