How to reach us about FlaskConnect, and answers to the questions we hear most often.

Contact

Send bug reports, questions and requests with the form below (to join the beta, go straight to the join links).

For bug reports, attaching the app's log helps a lot: the files shown by Help → Open the Log Folder can be attached to an email to support@flaskconnect.com (this form cannot take file attachments).

If the form does not work, email is welcome too.

We usually reply within two or three business days. FlaskConnect is developed and run by one person, so replies may take a little longer during the beta. Thank you for your patience.

Telling us your hardware (Mac / iPad), your OS version and your app version (Help → About in the menu) makes it much easier to look into the problem.

Frequently asked questions

Where are my drawings saved?

On your device, and in your own iCloud (the iCloud Drive > FlaskConnect folder). Drawings are never stored on the developer's servers. Save with Cmd+S; the file format is .chemc. See the privacy policy for details.

What happens after the beta ends on August 31, 2026?

The release version is planned with two plans: Free ($0, with apparatus drawing, PNG export and iCloud sync) and Pro (a monthly subscription adding chemical structures and reaction schemes, plus SVG, PowerPoint, Word and Excel export; the price will be shown in your local store). Documents you created during the beta (.chemc) still open in the release version. The contents and prices of the plans may change before release.

My Mac and iPad are not syncing

Check that both devices are signed in to iCloud with the same Apple ID, and that iCloud Drive is turned on in each device's settings. Syncing can take a little time. If that does not solve it, let us know by email.

How do I get a drawing into PowerPoint or Word?

Use the export menu to export the drawing as SVG or PNG, or to PowerPoint, Word or Excel, then insert it in your document. SVG is exported as true vector artwork, so the lines stay sharp at any size. Use SVG for print and for figures in papers, and PNG when you just want to paste something quickly.

What should I send when I report a problem?

Either write to us from Help → Send Feedback in the app menu, or attach the log file shown by Help → Open the Log Folder to an email. Logs are kept on your device only and are never sent automatically. A note about what you were doing and what happened helps a great deal.
